PRESENTATION: Abusing the Cloud for Fun and Profit

Presentation by: Alan Pinstein (@apinstein)

No matter what language you use, the cloud offers new opportunities to improve your application’s performance and reliability. This is especially important for smaller projects that previously would never have the scale to cost-effectively deliver the performance that you can get from a cloud-based architecture.

Deploying to the cloud requires a different attitude for success. It takes more up-front time to do it right, but the results can be transformative. It’s important to understand the trade-offs involved in cloud deployment that will affect your devops, development, and even financial operations.

Come hear success and horror stories from Alan Pinstein as he walks through his experiences of moving TourBuzz to the cloud. Alan will share his knowledge so you don’t have to waste time and money on the pitfalls of moving to the cloud!

About Alan: A long-time member of AtlantaPHP and multiple presenter, Alan is the founder of TourBuzz.com and Neybor.com.
