October 2013 Meeting

PRESENTATION: Return of the Ringtone

Presentation by: Keith Casey

Generally when we think of communicating with customers, we implement a few emails, check it off our list, and move on. What if we had a few more tools in our toolbox? What if we could interact with someone anywhere in the world, at any time we need, in a way that is context aware and useful to everyone involved? In this session, we’ll sketch out a simple Twilio-based application and live code it as we go. Bonus points for telephone/SMS questions that can stump the speaker.

About Keith: Keith Casey currently serves as a Developer Evangelist for Twilio to get good tools to good developers so they can change how businesses communicate. In his spare time, he is a core contributor to web2project (http://web2project.net/), works to build and support the Austin technology community, blogs occasionally at http://CaseySoftware.com and is completely fascinated by monkeys.

Possible giveaways may include copies of a newly release Twilio book.
